(vii) Recite Surah al-Tawhid
Sheikh Bahaayi writes regarding the supplications to be recited after the dawn prayer Ref :Miftah ul Falah: p. 206; Misbah ul Muta’hajjid: p. 53 :
While holding your beard with your right hand and raising your left hand towards the sky, repeat seven times:
Majlisi (may Allah have mercy on him) in “Al-maqbaas” reported under the topic “The supplication after dawn prayer” that one should recite the following before he talks to any one:
O’ my Lord! Send blessing to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and quicken the relief of Muhammad’s family and let me free from Hell fire.
Ch6 – 5 -Imam Reza (a.s.) advised to recite forty one (41) times,
He said “whoever recites with complete humbleness and humility, paying full attention, in the presence of Almighty Allah, will never be indigent of any creature and will get honor and popularity among the people.”
Three Supplications(i,ii,iii below) taught by Sayyid Muhammad al-Sultanabadi to Shaykh Muhammad Sadiq al-`Iraqi (through Imam Mahdi – peace be upon him) that alleviated his extreme grief and poverty
(i) He taught him that he, after the Dawn Prayers, should put his hand on his chest and repeat seventy times the phrase of:
(ii) He taught him to regularly say the following supplicatory prayer that, as is recorded in al-Kafi, the Holy Prophet (s) taught to one of his companions who had been afflicted by disease and poverty. Soon after that, the man recovered health and got rid of poverty. The supplication is this:
(iii) He taught him to say the dua below. In `Uddat al-Da`i, Shaykh Ibn Fahad reports Imam `Ali ibn Musa al-Rida (peace be upon him) to have said: Whoever says the following dua after the Dawn Prayer, will have all his requests made easy-to-gain for him and will be saved by Almighty Allah against every thing that aggrieves him

Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
Yaa-Seeen
Ya Sin.
Wal-Qur-aanil-Hakeem
By the Qur’an, full of Wisdom,
Innaka laminal mursaleen
Thou art indeed one of the messengers,
‘Alaa Siraatim Mustaqeem
On a Straight Way.
Tanzeelal ‘Azeezir Raheem
It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
Litunzira qawmam maaa unzira aabaaa’uhum fahum ghaafiloon
In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of God).
Laqad haqqal qawlu ‘alaaa aksarihim fahum laa yu’minoon
The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe.
Innaa ja’alnaa feee a’naaqihim aghlaalan fahiya ilal azqaani fahum muqmahoon
We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see).
Wa ja’alnaa mim baini aydeehim saddanw-wa min khalfihim saddan fa aghshai naahum fahum laa yubsiroon
And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see.
Wa sawaaa’un ‘alaihim ‘a-anzartahum am lam tunzirhum laa yu’minoon
The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe.
Innamaa tunziru manit taba ‘az-Zikra wa khashiyar Rahmaana bilghaib, fabashshirhu bimaghfiratinw-wa ajrin kareem
Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous.
Innaa Nahnu nuhyil mawtaa wa naktubu maa qaddamoo wa aasaarahum; wa kulla shai’in ahsainaahu feee Imaamim Mubeen
Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence).
Wadrib lahum masalan Ashaabal Qaryatih; iz jaaa’ahal mursaloon
Set forth to them, by way of a parable, the (story of) the Companions of the City. Behold!, there came apostles to it.
Iz arsalnaaa ilaihimusnaini fakazzaboohumaa fa’azzaznaa bisaalisin faqaalooo innaaa ilaikum mursaloon
When We (first) sent to them two apostles, they rejected them: But We strengthened them with a third: they said, “Truly, we have been sent on a mission to you.”
Qaaloo maaa antum illaa basharum mislunaa wa maaa anzalar Rahmaanu min shai’in in antum illaa takziboon
The (people) said: “Ye are only men like ourselves; and (God) Most Gracious sends no sort of revelation: ye do nothing but lie.”
Qaaloo Rabbunaa ya’lamu innaaa ilaikum lamursaloon
They said: “Our Lord doth know that we have been sent on a mission to you:
Wa maa ‘alainaaa illal balaaghul mubeen
“And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message.”
Qaaloo innaa tataiyarnaa bikum la’il-lam tantahoo lanar jumannakum wa la-yamassan nakum minnaa ‘azaabun aleem
The (people) said: “for us, we augur an evil omen from you: if ye desist not, we will certainly stone you. And a grievous punishment indeed will be inflicted on you by us.”
Qaaloo taaa’irukum ma’akum; a’in zukkirtum; bal antum qawmum musrifoon
They said: “Your evil omens are with yourselves: (deem ye this an evil omen). If ye are admonished? Nay, but ye are a people transgressing all bounds!”
Wa jaaa’a min aqsal madeenati rajuluny yas’aa qaala yaa qawmit tabi’ul mursaleen
Then there came running, from the farthest part of the City, a man, saying, “O my people! Obey the apostles:
Ittabi’oo mal-laa yas’alukum ajranw-wa hum muhtadoon
“Obey those who ask no reward of you (for themselves), and who have themselves received Guidance.
Wa maa liya laaa a’budul lazee fataranee wa ilaihi turja’oon
“It would not be reasonable in me if I did not serve Him Who created me, and to Whom ye shall (all) be brought back.
‘A-attakhizu min dooniheee aalihatan iny-yuridnir Rahmaanu bidurril-laa tughni ‘annee shafaa ‘atuhum shai ‘anw-wa laa yunqizoon
“Shall I take (other) gods besides Him? If (God) Most Gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me.
Inneee izal-lafee dalaa-lim-mubeen
“I would indeed, if I were to do so, be in manifest Error.
Inneee aamantu bi Rabbikum fasma’oon
“For me, I have faith in the Lord of you (all): listen, then, to me!”
Qeelad khulil Jannnah; qaala yaa laita qawmee ya’lamoon
It was said: “Enter thou the Garden.” He said: “Ah me! Would that my People knew (what I know)!
Bimaa ghafara lee Rabbee wa ja’alanee minal mukrameen (End Juz 22)
“For that my Lord has granted me Forgiveness and has enrolled me among those held in honour!”
Wa maaa anzalnaa ‘alaa qawmihee mim ba’dihee min jundim minas-samaaa’i wa maa kunnaa munzileen
And We sent not down against his People, after him, any hosts from heaven, nor was it needful for Us so to do.
In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum khaamidoon
It was no more than a single mighty Blast, and behold! they were (like ashes) quenched and silent.
Yaa hasratan ‘alal ‘ibaaad; maa ya’teehim mir Rasoolin illaa kaanoo bihee yastahzi ‘oon
Ah! Alas for (My) Servants! There comes not an apostle to them but they mock him!
Alam yaraw kam ahlak naa qablahum minal qurooni annahum ilaihim laa yarji’oon
See they not how many generations before them we destroyed? Not to them will they return:
Wa in kullul lammaa jamee’ul-ladainaa muhdaroon
But each one of them all – will be brought before Us (for judgment).
Wa Aayatul lahumul ardul maitatu ahyainaahaa wa akhrajnaa minhaa habban faminhu ya’kuloon
A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat.
Wa ja’alnaa feehaa jannaatim min nakheelinw wa a’naabinw wa fajjarnaa feeha minal ‘uyoon
And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein:
Li ya’kuloo min samarihee wa maa ‘amilat-hu aideehim; afalaa yashkuroon
That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks?
Subhaanal lazee khalaqal azwaaja kullahaa mimmaa tumbitul ardu wa min anfusihim wa mimmaa laa ya’lamoon
Glory to God, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge.
Wa Aayatul lahumul lailu naslakhu minhun nahaara fa-izaa hum muzlimoon
And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;
Wash-shamsu tajree limustaqarril lahaa; zaalika taqdeerul ‘Azeezil Aleem
And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.
Walqamara qaddarnaahu manaazila hattaa ‘aada kal’ur joonil qadeem
And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.
Lash shamsu yambaghee lahaaa an tudrikal qamara walal lailu saabiqun nahaar; wa kullun fee falaki yasbahoon
It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
Wa Aayatul lahum annaa hamalnaa zurriyatahum fil fulkil mashhoon
And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark;
Wa khalaqnaa lahum mim-mislihee maa yarkaboon
And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride
Wa in nashaa nughriqhum falaa sareekha lahum wa laa hum yunqazoon
If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,
Illaa rahmatam minnaa wa mataa’an ilaa heen
Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time.
Wa izaa qeela lahumuttaqoo maa baina aideekum wa maa khalfakum la’allakum turhamoon
When they are told, “Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy,” (they turn back).
Wa maa ta’teehim min aayatim min Aayaati Rabbihim illaa kaanoo ‘anhaa mu’rideen
Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom.
Wa izaa qeela lahum anfiqoo mimmaa razaqakumul laahu qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo anut’imu mal-law yashaaa’ul laahu at’amahooo in antum illaa fee dalaalim mubeen
And when they are told, “Spend ye of (the bounties) with which God has provided you,” the Unbelievers say to those who believe: “Shall we then feed those whom, if God had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)?- Ye are in nothing but manifest error.”
Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa’du in kuntum saadiqeen
Further, they say, “When will this promise (come to pass), if what ye say is true?”
Maa yanzuroona illaa saihatanw waahidatan ta’khuzuhum wa hum yakhissimoon
They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves!
Falaa yastatee’oona taw siyatanw-wa laaa ilaaa ahlihim yarji’oon
No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people!
Wa nufikha fis-soori faizaa hum minal ajdaasi ilaa Rabbihim yansiloon
The trumpet shall be sounded, when behold! from the sepulchres (men) will rush forth to their Lord!
Qaaloo yaa wailanaa mam ba’asanaa mim marqadinaa; haaza maa wa’adar Rahmanu wa sadaqal mursaloon
They will say: “Ah! Woe unto us! Who hath raised us up from our beds of repose?”… (A voice will say:) “This is what (God) Most Gracious had promised. And true was the word of the apostles!”
In kaanat illaa saihatanw waahidatan fa-izaa hum jamee’ul ladainaa muhdaroon
It will be no more than a single Blast, when lo! they will all be brought up before Us!
Fal-Yawma laa tuzlamu nafsun shai’anw-wa laa tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta’maloon
Then, on that Day, not a soul will be wronged in the least, and ye shall but be repaid the meeds of your past Deeds.
Inna Ashaabal jannatil Yawma fee shughulin faakihoon
Verily the Companions of the Garden shall that Day have joy in all that they do;
Hum wa azwaajuhum fee zilaalin ‘alal araaa’iki muttaki’oon
They and their associates will be in groves of (cool) shade, reclining on Thrones (of dignity);
Lahum feehaa faakiha tunw-wa lahum maa yadda’oon
(Every) fruit (enjoyment) will be there for them; they shall have whatever they call for;
Salaamun qawlam mir Rabbir Raheem
“Peace!” – a word (of salutation) from a Lord Most Merciful!
Wamtaazul Yawma ayyuhal mujrimoon
“And O ye in sin! Get ye apart this Day!
Alam a’had ilaikum yaa Baneee Aadama al-laa ta’budush Shaitaana innahoo lakum ‘aduwwum mubeen

That Day shall We set a seal on their mouths. But their hands will speak to us, and their feet bear witness, to all that they did.
Wa law nashaaa’u lata masna ‘alaaa aiyunihim fasta baqus-siraata fa-annaa yubsiroon
If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen?
Wa law nashaaa’u lamasakhnaahum ‘alaa makaanatihim famas-tataa’oo mudiyyanw-wa laa yarji’oon
And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (to remain) in their places; then should they have been unable to move about, nor could they have returned (after error).
Wa man nu ‘ammirhu nunakkishu fil-khalq; afalaa ya’qiloon
If We grant long life to any, We cause him to be reversed in nature: Will they not then understand?
Wa maa ‘allamnaahush shi’ra wa maa yambaghee lah; in huwa illaa zikrunw-wa Qur-aanum mubeen
We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur’an making things clear:
Liyunzira man kaana haiyanw-wa yahiqqal qawlu ‘alal-kaafireen
That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth).
Awalam yaraw annaa khalaqnaa lahum mimmaa ‘amilat aideenaaa an’aaman fahum lahaa maalikoon
See they not that it is We Who have created for them – among the things which Our hands have fashioned – cattle, which are under their dominion?

Recite 8 Rak’ats Zuhr Nafilah(2X4) recited BEFORE Zuhr Prayer
This supplication has been reported from Imam Hasan Askari (as), who reported from his forefathers upto the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon them all)
“Allahumma in `azumat dhunubi fa-anta a`zamu”
Allahumma in `azumat dhunubi fa-anta a`zamu
Beautiful words describing the helplessness at death and the need for mercy
Post Dhuhr Prayers is among the most recommended times for invoking the early reappearance of our master, Imam-e-Asr (a.s.)
Imam Sadiq (a.s.)says,“One who says the following after the morning and noon prayers will not die till he reaches to the Qaem (a.t.f.s.) of Ale Muhammad (s.a.w.a.).”,
( يَا سَامِعَ كُلّ صَوْتٍ ) after Dhuhr prayers:’for reappearance of Imam ajtfs It was said in Falaahis Sa’il that the most important supplication after (Zuhr)noon prayer is to imitate Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) in his supplication for Imam Al-Mahdi (peace be upon him).
On the authority of Ibad bn Muhammad Mada’in, he said: I arrived near Abu Abdullah in Medina when he finished his noon prayer and I met him raising his hands to the Heaven offering the following supplication:
1 Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 86, p. 77; Mustadrak al-Wasaael, vol. 5, p. 96, Jamaal al-Saaleheen
I said to Imam: May my soul be sacrificed for you, isn’t you have prayed for yourself? He said: I have prayed to the light of the progeny of Muhammad (peace be on them) who shall retaliate against their enemies with the command of Almighty Allah.
I said: when will he be coming out?
When the owner of creations and command wishes, Imam replied. I said: what are the signs before then? He said: the signs are many and different. I said: like what? Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: A banner shall come out from the east and west, sedition will persist and a man shall come out from Yemen among the descendant of my uncle Zaid, and there shall be plunding of the house properties[1] then Allah will act according to his wishes.[2]
It is in the book ‘Mikyaal ul Makarim’ that this supplication can be recited for the following benefits:
First: It is recommended to pray for his holiness (A.T.F.S.) and to request for hastening his reappearance after the ‘Zuhr’ prayer.
Second: It is recommended to lift hands while praying for his holiness (A.S.).
Third: It is recommended to regard the Holy Progeny (A.S.) as intercessors and to request in their favour before making a wish.
Fourth: It is recommended to praise and glorify Allah (S.W.T.) before beginning a supplication.
Fifth: It is recommended to send ‘Salawaat’ on Mohammad and his Holy Progeny (P.B.U.T.) before demanding a wish.
Sixth: Purifying ones soul from sins through repentance and the likes of it; so that the soul becomes purified and prepared for acceptance. The proof of this word is the request for forgiveness and freedom from hellfire requested by Imam (A.S.).
Seven: In the words of the Infallibles (A.S.) and their supplications, if the word ‘Wali’ is used singly, without any additions, then its implied on our Master, Imam Mahdi (A.S.).
Eighth: It is recommended to supplicate in the favour of the supporters and companions of his holiness (A.S.).
Ninth: Imam witnesses the actions of the followers in every condition, he watches them and their behaviour, towards which the line ‘Your eyes between your slaves’ indicates and implies.
Tenth: One of the nicknames of his holiness (A.S.) is the ‘Light of Mohammad’s Holy Progeny’. Its proof can also be witnessed in the narrations; ‘Muhaqqiq e Noori’ (R.A.) mentions a few of them in his book ‘Najm us Saqib’.
Eleventh: His holiness is superior and greater than all the Imams (A.S.) except Imam Ali (A.S.), Imam Hasan (A.S.) and Imam Husain (A.S.). This point is approved by other narrations as well.
Twelfth: Almighty Allah (S.W.T.) has treasured his holiness and has delayed his advent to avenge his enemies and the enemies of Prophet (P.B.U.H.). There are several narrations regarding this topic.
Thirteenth: The time of his Advent is amongst the concealed issues necessitated by the divine policy. It is also mentioned in several narrations.
Fourteenth: The signs mentioned in the narrations are not certain and indispensable; due to the line mentioned in the end, ‘Allah performs as per His own will’. [3]

Recite 8 Rak’ats Asr Nafilah(2X4) recited BEFORE Asr Prayer
Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 87, p. 85-Raja’ Ibn Abi Zahhaak narrates: ‘On his journey to Khorasan, Imam Reza (a.s.) while sitting on his prayer-mat, after Asr prayer, would recite Tasbeeh (Glorification of Allah), Tamjeed (Praise be to Allah), Takbeer (Allah is the greatest) and Tahleel (there is no god but Allah) as many times as he wished. Then he would offer prostration of gratitude while he would recite one hundred times
After performing Asr prayer seek forgiveness from Allah seventy-seven times (77)
Muhammad Ibn Fuzail Sairafee on the authority of Imam Reza (a.s.) who on the authority of his forefathers (a.s.) who on the authority of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) mentions this that he (s.a.w.a.) said to a person Allah will settle down your sins committed during seventy-seven (77) years. by this recitation.”
The person exclaimed: ‘If I do not get an age of seventy-seven years?’,Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) replied:“Then the sins committed by your father would be forgiven.”
The person again asked: ‘If I and my father do not get an age of seventy-seven years?’.Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) answered:“Then the sins committed by you, your father or your mother would be forgiven.”
The person again retorted: ‘If I, my father and my mother do not get an age of seventy-seven years?’, Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) responded:“Then the sins committed by you, your father, your mother and your relatives would be forgiven.”
[2]Jaame’ Ahaadis al-Shiah, vol. 6, p. 104; Wasaael al-Shiah, vol. 4, p. 1053<
It was stated in “Falaahi Ssa’il” among the important supplication to be observed after (Asr) afternoon prayer by imitating our master Musa ibn Ja’afar Al-Kazim (peace be upon him) in his dedicated supplication to our master Al-Mahdi (peace and blessing of Allah be on his grand father Muhammad and same to him) as it was narrated by Yahya bn Al-Fadl Naufali, he said: I entered to Abu Al-Hasan, Musa bn Ja’afar after (Asr) afternoon prayer in Baghdad, thus I met him raising his hand to the Heaven and I heard him reciting the following:
I said to him, whom did you prayed for? He said: to Al-Mahdi of the Prophet’s household (peace be on them).
He continued saying: may my father be sacrifice for him, his eyebrow are very close, his legs are very energetic, his shoulder is wide, brown in colour and close to be yellowish, may my father be sacrifice for him, his night shall guard the stars by his bowing down and prostration to Allah, may my father be sacrifice for him, he who the blames of those that blame shall not affect before Allah, he is the luminous lamp, may my father be sacrifice for him, he shall rise with the command of Allah.
I said to him, when will he come out? He said: when you saw armies from the city of Anbar in Iraq at the beach of Furat, sirah and Dajlah, and the arch of Kufah is destroy, and burning of some houses in Kufah, when you see all this, verily Allah will act according to His wish, no one can subdue the commandment of Allah and no one can review His Judgement.[1]
Nafilah – نــافلــة
Then Recite
“O You, Who have raised high and been great, overcome and been mighty, been mighty and overcome, O You, Who has been mighty and so been great in His might, O You, Who have spread shadow over his creation, Who have endowed His people with favor,
I ask You, O You Mighty of retribution, Who avenge with His might on people of atheism, I ask You by the right of Your guardian Ali bin Abu Talib and I make him the means between You and my needs, to have mercy on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and to help me satisfy my needs, perform my nafilas (Supererogatory prayers) and obligations and be pious to my brothers, and perfect in Your obedience, O You, the Most Merciful of the merciful.’
Imam Ali (as) Sunset Dua from Sahifa Alawiya
(then go in Sajdah and recite)
It is highly advisable to engage yourself in glorification of Almighty Allah and implorations for His forgiveness, because this hour is as important as the pre-sunrise hour, as Almighty Allah has said in the Holy Quran:
Imam al-Sadiq (`a) is reported to have said, “When the color of the sun changes (i.e. the sun is about to set), you must remember Allah the Almighty and Majestic. If you are at that hour with one who preoccupies you from this, you must leave him and supplicate.
Continue the supplication to be said at sunset as under:
You may say the words of professing that there is no god save Allah and the words of seeking His protection, . You may then put your hand on the head and pass it over your face.

Falaa uqsimu bimaawaa qi’innujoom
So I swear by the places where the stars set!
Wa innahoo laqasamul lawta’lamoona’azeem
And indeed it is a great oath, should you know.
Innahoo la quraanun kareem
This is indeed a noble Qurʾān,
Fee kitaabim maknoon
in a guarded Book,
Laa yamassuhooo illal mutahharoon
—no one touches it except the pure ones—
Tanzeelum mir Rabbil’aalameen
gradually sent down from the Lord of all the worlds.
Afabihaazal hadeesi antum mudhinoon
What! Do you take lightly this discourse?
Wa taj’aloona rizqakum annakum tukazziboon
And make your denial of it your vocation?
Falaw laaa izaa balaghatil hulqoom
And make your denial of it your vocation?
Wa antum heena’izin tanzuroon
And make your denial of it your vocation?
Wa nahnu aqrabu ilaihi minkum wa laakil laa tubsiroon
and We are nearer to him than you are, though you do not perceive
Falaw laaa in kuntum ghaira madeeneen
then why do you not, if you are not subject
Tarji’oonahaaa in kuntum saadiqeen
[to the Divine dispensation], restore it, should you be truthful?
Fa ammaaa in kaana minal muqarrabeen
Then, if he be of those brought near,
Farawhunw wa raihaa nunw wa jannatu na’eem
then ease, abundance, and a garden of bliss.
Wa ammaaa in kaana min as haabil yameen
And if he be of the People of the Right Hand,
Fasalaamul laka min as haabil yameen
then Peace be on you,‘[a greeting] from the People of the Right Hand!
Wa ammaaa in kaana minal mukazzibeenad daaalleen
But if he be of the impugners, the astray ones,
Fanuzulum min hameem
then a treat of boiling water
Wa tasliyatu jaheem
and entry into hell.
Inna haaza lahuwa haqqul yaqeen
Indeed this is certain truth.
Fasabbih bismi rabbikal ‘azeem
So celebrate the Name of your Lord, the All-supreme!

Bismillah hir rahman nir Raheem
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
Tabaarakal lazee biyadihil mulku wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shai-in qadeer
Blessed is He in whose hands is all sovereignty, and He has power over all things.
Allazee khalaqal mawta walhayaata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu ‘amalaa; wa huwal ‘azeezul Ghafoor
He, who created death and life that He may test you [to see] which of you is best in conduct. And He is the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.
Allazee khalaqa sab’a samaawaatin tibaaqam maa taraa fee khalqir rahmaani min tafaawut farji’il basara hal taraa min futoor
He created seven heavens in layers. You do not see any discordance in the creation of the All-beneficent. Look again! Do you see any flaw?
Summar ji’il basara karrataini yanqalib ilaikal basaru khaasi’anw wa huwa haseer
Look again, once more. Your look will return to you humbled and weary.
Wa laqad zaiyannas samaaa’ad dunyaa bimasaa beeha wa ja’alnaahaa rujoomal lish shayaateeni wa a’tadnaa lahum ‘azaabas sa’eer
Look again, once more. Your look will return to you humbled and weary.
Wa lillazeena kafaroo bi rabbihim ‘azaabu jahannama wa bi’sal maser
For those who defy their Lord is the punishment of hell, and it is an evil destination.
Izaaa ulqoo feehaa sami’oo lahaa shaheeqanw wa hiya tafoor
When they are thrown in it, they hear it blaring, as it seethes,
Takaadu tamayyazu minal ghaizz kullamaaa ulqiya feehaa fawjun sa alahum khazanatuhaaa alam ya’tikum nazeer
almost exploding with rage. Whenever a group is thrown in it, its keepers will ask them, ‘Did not any warner come to you?’
Qaaloo balaa qad jaaa’anaa nazeerun fakazzabnaa wa qulnaa maa nazzalal laahu min shai in in antum illaa fee dalaalin Kabeer
They will say, ‘Yes, a warner did come to us, but we impugned [him] and said, ‘Allah did not send down anything; you are only in great error.’
Wa qaaloo law kunnaa nasma’u awna’qilu maa kunnaa feee as haabis sa’eerv
And they will say, ‘Had we listened or applied reason, we would not have been among inmates of the Blaze.’
Fa’tarafoo bizambihim fasuhqal li as haabis sa’eer
Thus they will admit their sin. So away with the inmates of the Blaze!
Innal lazeena yakhshawna rabbahum bilghaibi lahum maghfiratunw wa ajrun Kabeer
Indeed for those who fear their Lord in secret there will be forgiveness and a great reward.
Wa asirroo qawlakum awijharoo bih; innahoo ‘aleemum bizaatis sudoor
Speak secretly, or do so openly, indeed He knows well what is in the breasts.
Alaa ya’lamu man khalaqa wa huwal lateeful khabeer
Would He who has created not know? And He is the All-attentive, the All-aware.
Huwal lazee ja’ala lakumul arda zaloolan famshoo fee manaakibihaa wa kuloo mir rizqih; wa ilaihin nushoor
It is He who made the earth tractable for you; so walk on its flanks and eat of His provision, and towards Him is the resurrection.
‘A-amintum man fissamaaa’i aiyakhsifa bi kumul arda fa izaa hiya tamoor
Are you secure that He who is in the sky will not make the earth swallow you while it quakes?
Am amintum man fissamaaa’i ai yursila ‘alaikum haasiban fasata’lamoona kaifa nazeer
Are you secure that He who is in the sky will not unleash upon you a rain of stones? Soon you will know how My warning has been!
Wa laqad kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fakaifa kaana nakeer
Certainly those who were before them had impugned [My apostles]; but then how was My rebuttal!
Awalam yaraw ilat tairi fawqahum saaaffaatinw wa yaqbidn; maa yumsikuhunna il’lar rahmaan; innahoo bikulli shai in baseer
Have they not regarded the birds above them spreading and closing their wings? No one sustains them except the All-beneficent. Indeed, He watches all things.
Amman haazal lazee huwa jundul lakum yansurukum min doonir rahmaan; inilkaafiroona illaa fee ghuroor
Who is it that is your host who may help you, besides the All-beneficent? The faithless only dwell in delusion.
Amman haazal lazee yarzuqukum in amsaka rizqah; bal lajjoo fee ‘utuwwinw wa nufoor
Who is it that may provide for you if He withholds His provision? Indeed, they persist in defiance and aversion.
Afamai yamshee mukibban ‘alaa wajhihee ahdaaa ammany yamshee sawiyyan ‘alaa siratim mustaqeem
Is he who walks prone on his face better guided, or he who walks upright on a straight path?
Qul huwal lazee ansha akum wa ja’ala lakumus sam’a wal absaara wal af’idata qaleelam maa tashkuroon
Say, ‘It is He who created you, and made for you hearing, eyesight, and hearts. Little do you thank.’
Qul huwal lazee zara akum fil ardi wa ilaihi tuhsharoon
Say, ‘It is He who created you on the earth, and toward Him you will be mustered.’
Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa’du in kuntum saadiqeenv
They say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’
Qul innamal ‘ilmu ‘indallaahi wa innamaaa ana nazeerum mubeen
Say, ‘Its knowledge is only with Allah; I am only a manifest warner.’
Falaammaa ra-awhu zulfatan seee’at wujoohul lazeena kafaroo wa qeela haazal lazee kuntum bihee tadda’oon
When they see it brought near, the countenances of the faithless will be contorted, and [they will be] told, ‘This is what you were asking for!’
Qul ara’aytum in ahlaka niyal laahu wa mam ma’iya aw rahimanaa famai-yujeerul kaafireena min ‘azaabin aleem
Say, ‘Tell me, whether Allah destroys me and those who are with me, or He has mercy on us, who will shelter the faithless from a painful punishment?’
Qul huwar rahmaanu aamannaa bihee wa ‘alaihi tawakkalnaa fasata’lamoona man huwa fee dalaalim mubeen
Say, ‘He is the All-beneficent; we have faith in Him, and in Him do we trust. Soon you will know who is in manifest error.’
Qul ara’aytum in asbaha maaa’ukum ghawran famai ya’teekum bimaaa’im ma’een
Say, ‘Tell me, should your water sink down [into the ground], who will bring you running water?’
